(Formerly known as Family Forum Meetings)
Each half term we hold a supportive group meeting in school for our families. We invite our pupils’ family members in to school to meet up with each other, along with a member of staff and visiting professionals in a relaxed atmosphere. The aim is to have informal discussions and share information that may be useful; all done with a cup of tea or coffee and a biscuit or two! This is also an opportunity to meet and have a chat, sharing ideas and experiences with other parents and carers, in addition to providing valuable feedback for service providers. All parents, carers and family members are welcome.

Previous Meeting Notes:
As a result of discussions at these meetings and Headteacher Surgery meetings we have made improvements, some of these are detailed below in our ‘You Said, We Did’ section:
You said… you would prefer it if we no longer used Facebook
We… have deleted our Facebook profile and are investigating an appropriate alternative
You said… you would like our after school Youth Club (for age 8 and above) to run for an additional day each week
We… applied to our funding partner, Activities Unlimited, and will be providing an additional weekly session
You said… you would like Hillside pupils to have access to a wheelchair accessible swing
We…, in conjunction with external fundraisers and The Parents and Friends of Hillside, raised sufficient funds to have a wheelchair accessible swing installed in our playground
You said… you had difficulty seeing some of the pupils in our school events and performances
We… have purchased staging for use at future events
You said… you would like school photos taken earlier so they can be used as Christmas presents
We… contacted our photographers and got them in early, in time for Christmas!
